The cancellation policy of your reservation is shown in multiple places. In order it can be found:
- On the hotel overview page in the room and rate, you select
- On the checkout page prior to entering your payment details
- In the email confirmation that is sent for your reservation
- In the attached confirmation voucher that is in the email sent
- In the online reservation overview/voucher for your reservation details
If your reservation is non-refundable, then we will not provide a refund for any reason. These special negotiated rates cannot be refunded or credited. You may always cancel your reservation, but you will not receive a refund.
If your booking is within the refundable period, or inside the cancellation policy where you must accept a penalty for cancelling, you may request a refund and cancel the booking.
To cancel your booking:
- Login to your account
- Then select your booking and click "Manage"
- On the following screen, select Cancel
- You will be presented with your options for cancellation, as well as the cancellation penalties associated with your booking, which you accepted at the time of purchase.
If your booking is non-refundable or the refund-by-date has passed, you will not be able to cancel and get a refund. These bookings are under a non-refundable and non-amendable contract with our travel partners. For cancellation or change of a non-refundable reservation, a charge equal to the reservation fee applies. If your booking is not refundable or the refund-by-time has passed, you will not be able to cancel and get a refund. These bookings are under a not refundable and non-amendable contract with hotel suppliers.
This negotiation is still necessary even with the hotel's approval, as our travel partners have different cancellation policies. While we do our best to negotiate, some travel partners may reject our cancellation request and charge MobyTrip for your booking. In such cases, MobyTrip is unable to grant a refund.
If there is no online option to cancel your reservation, please notify us. While we can not guarantee positive resolution in every case, we will contact the hotel supplier and ask to cancel your reservation. As soon as we will get confirmation from the hotel that they are ready to waive some or all charges related to your reservation, we will contact you and organize a full or partial refund.
In the event you do not show for the first night of the reservation and plan to check-in for subsequent nights in your reservation, you must confirm the reservation changes with us no later than the date of the first night of the reservation to prevent cancellation of your reservation. You agree to pay any cancellation or change fees that you incur.
For this reason, we do not recommend booking non-refundable rates if it's possible that your plans may change.
